SECOND ANNUAL EDISON PARK ART WALK (starting July 15th)
This popular event has been brought back for the second year. Local artists including local high school art students will showcase their art work first at our reception July 15th at the Edison Park Metra Station, 6730 N. Olmsted Ave. from 5pm to 7pm. The reception will feature all the participating artists as well as complimentary appetizers and refreshments from our local restaurants and a raffle. From July 16th through July 26th, the art work will be displayed at participating Edison Park businesses. Maps will be available starting Thursday, July 8th at the Edison Park Metra Station, Kaage's Newsstand and at our Art Walk Hosts businesses. The map will list all the places where art will be displayed.
ARLINGTON PARK RACE TRACK OUTING - Friday, July 23rd
Feeling lucky? Join Edison Park Chamber of Commerce members for a fun-fulled afternoon of networking at Arlington Park Race Track. Catch the 12:55 pm Metra Train from the Edison Park Station and arrive in plenty of time for the first race at 2:30 pm. Admission is $7.00 per person for the grandstands. CITY OF CHICAGO SIGN PERMIT AMNESTY PROGRAM
Do you have a sign, canopy, awning, marquee or banner? Do you have all the required permits? You need two types of permits for any of the above: 1. a Building Permit - to install; and 2. a Public Way Use Permit if it hangs over the public way. During the "Amnesty" you can apply for all the right permits and have all your fees waived for the first year. Avoid being fined in the future for not having the required permits. THE HIRE ACT - Effective March 19, 2010 through December 31, 2010
